These self-assessment resources help to encourage deeper learning with students and assess how well they have understood their learning. There are TEN sheets of SA, easy to print off, can be stuck in by students themselves or copied and pasted directly onto the worksheet saving time. Self-assessments are easily adapted allowing them to be personlised. Can be used across the different primary key stages. Self-assessments allow reflection and deeper thinking. Within the resource, there are pointers on how to use the different self-assessments.

There are three styles of assessment. • The first is a self-assessment line - within this there are three different assessment lines allowing children to assess their work at different parts of the lesson, they can add a comment and the teacher can also add a comment allowing pupil/teacher dialogue. They can assess against SC, WALT, Lesson content… • The second is a self-assessment personal target line -within this there are three different assessment lines. The child may select their own target or the teacher can select a target for the child. This allows children to assess their target at different parts of the lesson, they can add a comment and the teacher can also add a comment allowing pupil, teacher’s dialogue. • The third is a self-assessment timeline – this target can be used for children who are easily distracted. It can encourage the individual to refer to the assessment timeline and stay focused. Within this there are three different assessment lines, allowing children to assess their work at different parts of the lesson and encouraging them to stay focused on the task. The individual can add a comment and the teacher can also add a comment, allowing pupil-teacher dialogue. This allows children to assess themselves at different parts of the lesson, they can add a comment/NS and the teacher can also add a comment allowing pupil, teacher’s dialogue. It can be used across the different primary key stages and with different subjects. • Fully editable

This target/review slip will help to set a target for your pupil. It can encourage deeper thinking and leaning, which is focused on their personalised target. It can help pupils to remain focused on achieving a clear target whilst showing progress step by step. The review stage allows you to set a date where the target can be reviewed, it can allow you to assess if it has been achieved and whether the learning is embedded or needs reinforcing. This target slip can be used for all subjects from core to foundation subjects as it is a generic. This allows consistency and ease of use for the pupils as they are familiar with the layout of the target slip. The target slips are easy to print off, they can be stuck in by students themselves or copied and pasted directly onto the worksheet, saving time. It is suitable to be used across key stage 1 and 2.
